Liz & MI CASA SU CASA

Good morning!
It is getting cold in Kagawa pref.

Today, our first helper Liz who wrote about MI CASA SU CASA.

-------------------------------------------------
I was lucky in a lot of ways that I found Mi Casa Su Casa this October. I had heard of this guesthouse through my friends in Matsuyama and arrived in Konzoji (for the first time) right as a typhoon was coming to Shikoku. I was walking the ohenro temple pilgrimage and really needed to speak some English, and of course take a shower and sleep in a comfortable bed. I also just needed some friendly conversation and a friendly smile, both of which Masayo is excellent at providing!

After I hurt my foot the next week walking to Takamatsu, I returned to Mi Casa Su Casa to figure out what I would do. Masayo again welcomed me with open arms and included me in all her plans. I quickly became friends with her friends and have had the best week ever as her 'helper' staff. I've eaten udon almost everyday and some good okonomiyaki too, gone to see a Yama P. movie, made pizza and tacos with her friends, gone to an onsen and also helped clean of course.

Masayo has become a friend in the time I've spent here and I would recommend any traveller, Japanese or foreigner, to come to Konzoji just to experience this guesthouse and the cool people who pass through.

Oh and also make sure to stop by the family-run konbini Inariya-san, they have the best onigiri in Japan!

Thank you to Masayo for being the energy and life behind Mi Casa Su Casa, I know that I will visit this place again!

-------------------------------------------------

Thank you Liz!

Hello,

It is too hot in Japan now, but there are many pilgrims in Shikoku.
They are very tough because many pilgrims have walked around 45 days for 88 temples.
It is 1200 km and a big trip.

Even we cannot make it.

One day, we tried to walk 7 temples, but it was incredibly hot. So, we decided to drive around from 71st to 77th temples.

We could see beautiful scenery everywhere.

If your time is limitation, we can arrange route of pilgrimage for you.

Please contact us!

Big Smile & ICHIGOICHIE

Hello,

Recently, we have many pilgrims because Kukai walked 88 Shikoku Temples 1200 years ago. This year is the 1200th anniversary since he walked.

Sometimes, people meet different type of tourists. The pilgrim's guest is from the U.S.A. where he lives in. We can talk a lot of things and know each other.

Japanese word has "ICHIGOICHIE." It means a once-in-a-lifetime chance [a special occasion]. Otherwise phrased "Treasure every encounter, for it will never recur."

If you visit Japan, please keep in mind this phrase "ICHIGOICHIE."

Our Place is Very Small!

Hello,

Today, we introduce our guesthouse.
It is located behind JR station that means our place is very close to the station.
It takes 10 seconds from the station to MI CASA SU CASA.

We can see the beautiful sunset from here.

Many tourists take a day trip to Takamatsu, Kochi, Tokushima, Matsuyama from here because they have Japan Rail Passes. If you have one, you can take one day trip to everywhere in Shikoku like Iya Valley, Oboke, Koboke.

However, our place is very small. We can say the smallest hostel in Japan.
Sometimes trains make noisy a little. You see the train station is very near.

If you don't mind these not good tools, please stay here.
Actually, many people enjoy MI CASA SU CASA.

We are waiting for you!
